Rihanna
Rihanna New Album
Rihanna stated that the album has a different feel from her previous two, with more
up-tempo and mid-tempo melodies.
I think that's where I want to go on this one. You feel different every
album, and (at) this stage I feel like I want to do a lot of uptempo (songs).
I want to keep people dancing but still be soulful at the same time. Rihanna worked with Timbaland on three songs in the album. Justin Timberlake co-wrote and provides background vocals on "Rehab. In interviews, many have questioned the meaning and reasoning of the album title. During an interview on UK radio station Capital FM, Rihanna explains: Bad is not sleazy. Bad has it’s own term to every individual and in my case it just means I’ve gotten a little rebellious on the album, broken out of my shell and I'm taking risks... Michael Jackson "bad". Other than the producers listed, Rihanna worked with her label mate Ne-Yo, who wrote her top-ten hit "Unfaithful", on new material as well as vocal techniques. Ne-Yo, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are collaborators on the album. During a later interview, she stated "How would you feel if someone came in to your home and began taking everything they wanted that looked cool, and gave you nothing in return. Pretty crazy, right? That's how I feel about the piracy of music. The United Kingdom edition of the album will be released with a digipack bonus CD full of remixes. |
